    These guys always underestimate how long it takes to do their programs. Badly. Unless you’re in an empty gym or have a home gym, but I think they forget most of us work out in pretty busy gyms. And I’ve seen a lot of people say that even when they are working out at home or in an empty gym they still can’t get the routines done as quickly as these guys say they should. That’s my one issue. Other than that, they always have good information. And their programs are legitimately awesome. I have all of them.

    having done p90x i will say you will def lose some weight, but its kind of dog shit for actually building and training your muscles in any significant way. I lost like 60 lbs but i also just looked deflated and had no real development in my muscles until i took up body building and strong man. Having said that, if you want something just to burn calories and "turn your brain off " for 90 days then its not a bad option

    When i increased my protein (animal source), decreased my coffee to 5oz 1x/day, lifted heavy weights w/ rest in between sets for 3 mins., slept at the same time (10:30pm) daily & 30 mins of prayer time morning and aftrn, my insomnia disappeared. When dealing with hormones you need to go rhrough your checklist everyday.

    Pretty simple. Glute bridges. All of them, as many as you can do, the heavier the better. Cardio is infinitely more important than strength in bjj.

    Creatine never worked for me ,but then not everyone responds well too it...Just looked bloated with water retention and had an upset stomach..Boring kerp dosing up on it too..

    I’m 42 & only 1 month in to weightlifting. I’ve been doing splits 4days pw. I’ve just recently had my 1st down moment - I had lots drinks at a friend’s, then sluggish next few days (joys of over 40) & missed my next gym day. Now I’m thinking I should do full body on my next couple gym days to make up for lost split. Is this right?

    squatted to 90 degree angle messed up my knee 30 years ago. Now I am 68 I squat ATG and my knees are better and legs are bigger too. I also add Olympic style clean/.front squat too

    The effects of running are opposing to the effects of circuit training. The body system is confused plus you're doing calorie restriction. The hormones are receiving and giving out mix signals to the body systems. Im a trainer fr 14 yrs, a nurse and a nutritionist. Listen to this three, they are on point.

    Cable machine offers workout angles that cannot be performed with dumbbells, barbells or other machines. Cables are safer, there's no chance of a crush injury from a dropped weight and a reduced chance of joint injury. Cable machines offer constant tension through the range of motion that dumbbells, barbells or other machines cannot provide. Cable machines enable to do presses, flys and all sorts of exercises while standing, meaning your entire body from hands to feet are engaged to some degree, which trains your muscles to work together, which is functional. I purchased a functional trainer after injuring my shoulder lifting heavy on a plate loaded converging bench in my home gym. I tore the rotator cuff, glenoid labrum and biceps tendon at the shoulder, which resulted in 10 months with no lifting and almost a year of no lifting and the nagging concern of reinjury. The restricted path forced by the machine was a contributing factor. Many years ago, while lifting heavy dumbbells, I had 2 injuries, one was a mild biceps tear, the other was when I lost the dumbbell on my non-dominant arm trying to force a failure rep on a press, the dumbbell landed on my clavicle. At this point, I'm MOSTLY satisfied with the functional trainer, but it has limitations. Leg day and cable machines aren't ideal. There's really no good way to do squats or deadlifts, I can do Brignoli squats which are a hybrid of both, but when I have both stacks at 180 pounds+, my feet slowly slide forward and no amount of anti-slip tape I've tried has stopped that. My leg day is now all performed without the functional trainer. I do trap bar deadlifts, vertical leg press, calf raises, leg extensions and curls on a machine for that and tib bar raises. I don't do squats anymore since I don't have spotters, but my legs are fully spent, and I'm pleased with the results. Another limitation is the maximum weight on a home cable machine / functional trainer. My machine has dual 230-pound weight stacks with a 2:1 ratio, which means the max effective weight when lifting is 115 pounds per stack or 230 if lifting both stacks, it's not the combined weight of 460.

    High fat high protein breakfast fucks me up. I prefer moderate fat - moderate protein - moderate carb breakfast. Something like sausage/eggs/potato if going for savory. Or granola (homemade with peanut butter) + Greek yogurt + fruit

    It's simple, mTOR is trigerred for 24-72 hours after a decent workout. Therefore, working the muscle in the mean average time (every 48 hours) just makes sense AND is empirically shown to work.

    Funny that Justin brought up the sled. I built tremendous strength and muscle size using the sled for a while. I didn’t exclusively use the sled for legs, but I had decided to make it my primary leg exercise and the pump I would feel for that was INSANE.

    Yes aome times they go nuts when they build a whole University for this kid to study in their area because of 2 years of mistake they allowed many kids to move to a non Govt approved structure, they want to show all their work they did giving security to that same kid, and an attack happened will also be studied at 40 Administrative Heads level only
